I suspect that I have missed quite a few events on this island of late, and browsing over other journals it sounds like some rather unusual occurrences have come to a close. I cannot say that I am the least bit sorry to hear that such things are no longer of concern to me.
...it appears that there is going to be a talent show, and also a tournament of sorts between the island and that of the northern school. I must say, that should be quite interesting to watch, and I have to wonder what exactly I will be able to witness in the span of such events.
If there is any other news of which I should be aware, I ask that anyone seeing this entry would please inform me of such, so I know whether to increase my meditation once more. |

Disturbing... very disturbing. I suppose it is no real surprise that this island, of all places, seems to have the most extreme changes over the shortest period of time, but I must admit I had not suspected that the inhabitants would change as readily. Indeed, at least several members who had traits I considered to be immutable have altered themselves so drastically to make me wonder if they had indeed been replaced or altered by a higher life form as seems to be the norm these days... and yet it can be inferred that this is not the case, or at least it is done with considerably more subtlety than otherwise displayed. It is... unfortunate that this atmosphere of change has affected things very much in my detriment. I have sought assistance from the staff, but alas, my queries have gone unanswered. I do, in some part, wonder if I have any reason to continue at all, if the 'debt' has been paid.
Hmm... I suppose this all is irrelevant given current circumstances. I suppose I shall simply observe these changes. It is, indeed, an ideal location to research the nature of humans under unusual conditions. Despite the setbacks, there could be value to continuing. |

Things on this island have gotten entirely too confusing for one like myself. By and large my only reprieve comes in the form of meditation, for which I have nearly doubled my normal time allotment. Perhaps it could be considered the flow between Yin and Yang... but for me, this darkness embraces Yang too much for my tastes.
Well, it is not my problem, but it does make 'relating' rather difficult at times. I just hope my training can continue uninterrupted... and that at least one person remains as they ought, if only so that I might... "improve" myself. |

How disturbing... it appears I have gained a certain amount of infamy here on this island. I suppose I have attempted to gain too much practice through the impromptu use of Miss Ethlinda. If you are reading this, Miss Ethlinda, I do apologize, but I assure you I meant you no harm, and indeed, your attempts to thwart me were what I was after. Your skill seems to have improved since I started, and I do hope you will 'have another go at me', as it were.

My, my... this is fascinating. I really had no idea so many people in our school kept such diligent public journals such as these... and it is such a potentially useful tool. I am so very glad Miss Ethelinda introduced me to this, albeit unwittingly. That was admittedly a very... unusual situation, but I was able to gather a suitable amount of information which should be useful in future interactions.
On a more personal note, I find Miss Ethelinda's general repulsion towards the male gender to be both fascinating and a bit disturbing. Given that it exists, however, I feel I can safely add her to the list of "safe" females to speak with on campus, along with Ms. Yamashita and the married staff. Her fighting tendencies are not yet honed, but she should provide some impromptu training for me. All in all an excellent situation in this relative isolation. |
